The Metropolitan West School Sport Regional Sub-Committee is responsible for the provision and implementation of the Metropolitan West School Sport program. Metropolitan West School Sport provides representative school sport opportunities for any enrolled student aged 10–19 years, from any affiliated school including state, independent, catholic and distance education in our region. Metropolitan West School Sport is the only region who selects teams to participate in all of the Queensland School Sport state championships across all of the 21 sports.
Metropolitan West School Sport supports the physical, intellectual and emotional well-being of young people, so they can be productive students and members of their communities. This is created through the provision of comprehensive school sport programs. The Metropolitan West School Sport Region Sub-Committee’s core purpose is to focus on these sporting programs for students and schools within the various education systems.
